About the Role

As an OLIVE YOUNG Senior Advisor, you lead by example, inspiring customers on their healthy beauty journey while building and developing your team to successfully deliver OLIVE YOUNG’s brand to the U.S. retail market for the very first time. You are a key leader on the sales floor and a trusted partner to Store Leadership — driving daily operations, managing and supporting the team, and ensuring operational excellence.

Beyond daily operations, you play a strategic role in driving sales performance by leveraging insights and analysis to plan and execute seasonal promotions and business initiatives. You are passionate about the customer experience, building meaningful connections with customers and with our Advisors and Crew. You’ll be supporting your team’s skills and growth, providing regular coaching, feedback, and support to build confidence and capability. Through effective team management and proactive leadership, you create an inclusive and high-performing environment that consistently delivers results and brings OLIVE YOUNG’s mission to life.

What You’ll Do

The following duties are considered essential functions of the role, including but not limited to the responsibilities outlined below.

  • Sales Execution: Drive sales and support the team by coaching on daily selling behaviors, assisting with promotions, executing LSM (store self-promotion), and omnichannel initiatives while providing real-time feedback and leadership presence.
  • Performance KPI Analysis: Support sales operational KPIs by tracking performance trends, sales and profit targets, identifying risks and opportunities while partnering with the ASM and Store Manager to drive business results.
  • Operational Excellence: Support end-to-end inventory operations, including automatic replenishment reviews, order accuracy checks, tester management, resolution of misdeliveries and damaged goods, and maintaining accurate stock flow and organized stockroom standards.
  • Inventory Management: Support daily inventory operations, including out-of-stock response, clearance execution, product disposal, short-dated and stagnant inventory control, and investigating inventory discrepancies.
  • Customer Service Expertise: Engage customers in sales consultations, payment and packaging, exchanges and returns, omnichannel service assistance, and handling customer inquiries and escalations as needed.
  • Oversee Sales Floor and Back-of-House Operations: Ensure consistent standards across merchandising, cleanliness, signage, tester hygiene, and the delivery of in-store services and events (including skin and scalp scan services).
  • Manager on Duty: Serve as a keyholder and manager on duty in support of Exempt Leadership, ensuring store opening and closing procedures, POS operations, and cash handling controls are executed in accordance with company standards.
  • Cash Management: Manage cash handling processes, including opening and closing cash tasks, organizing deposits, maintaining adequate change, initiating safe deposits when required, and conducting investigations into cash variances or losses, escalating findings appropriately.
  • Safety & Compliance: Support store safety and facilities compliance by conducting inspections, reporting system or facility issues, following emergency response procedures, and adhering to company policies, safety standards, and loss prevention practices.
  • Coaching: Support store leadership through on-the-job training, performance feedback, recognition, and skills development, while supporting required training completion and communication with leadership.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Supervision: Supervise and support Advisors and Crew, ensuring alignment with daily priorities and company standards.
  • Employee Relations: Support with employee relations matters professionally and confidentially, by partnering with Exempt leadership to escalate concerns in a timely manner.
  • Onboarding: Support onboarding and continuous development of new and existing team members.
  • Champion Operations: Perform additional duties as needed to support store operations and performance.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retail, beauty, or customer-facing experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong sense of ownership with the ability to stay self-directed, results-oriented, and effective both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to coach, motivate, and support team development.
  • Proven track record of contributing to sales performance and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable using technology such as POS systems, scheduling tools, and tablets to support store operations and reporting.
  • Preferred: License in Cosmetology and/or Esthetician.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in Korean and/or Spanish.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Mobility: Continuous standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Lifting: Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling items ranging from 10 to over 50 pounds (e.g., boxes, inventory, etc.).
  • Dexterity: Manual dexterity for organizing shelves or handling small items.
  • Environmental: Exposure to fragrance, cosmetic ingredients, and, in some cases, fast-paced and high‑volume retail environments.
  • Vision: Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception, are necessary.
