Position Overview:

CJ ENM America is currently seeking an intern to join its U.S. Film Production & Development division.  The candidate should have a strong desire to learn about the global film industry, feature film development, and creative processes. The ideal candidate would be pursuing a college or graduate school degree (or recently graduated) in film, media studies, or English / creative writing. This is a paid, part-time internship located in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities:  

  • Reviewing creative materials (scripts, novels, webtoons, etc.) and providing strong written feedback or coverage for development executives.
  • Compiling writer, director, and actor lists for projects.
  • Researching potential project ideas and trending topics to aid creative development.
  • Tracking submissions.
  • General admin duties as needed.

Experience & Skills:  

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates a passion for film and / or international scripted content.
  • Strong interest and awareness of both Korean and US cultural trends.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Google Suite, Dropbox, Adobe, etc.).
